Programs and Services

Elmcor offers a 51-bed facility for adult men and women with chronic substance use disorders. Residents are assessed for person-centered, family-focused, community-connected care.

Elmcor operates the first and only Youth Recovery Club House in Queens funded by Office of Addiction Services and Support (OASAS), and operates within our recreation building. The Youth Clubhouse is open to all Queens youth ages 12-25 and their families.

In February 2024, Elmcor launched its Housing Services program with the opening of the Helen M. Marshall Manor, a state-of-the-art, 30-unit apartment building that provides affordable and supportive housing, including 21 units for people recovering from substance misuse and/or mental health issues and 9 units for older adults experiencing unstable housing situations.

Elmcor has been enhancing the lives of older adults since 1981 by providing a comprehensive array of services aimed at promoting healthy aging.

With funding from the NYC Food Assistance Collaborative, Elmcor expanded our food pantry renovating it to a supermarket-style, participant-choice pantry, allowing for greater freedom of choice rather than restrictive selection.

The Louis Armstrong Recreational Center features a regulation-sized gymnasium, where hundreds participate in basketball tournaments, soccer competitions, karate and dance classes.
