QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — A different kind of party is coming to a Queens block this Saturday with focus on fitness, wellness and community health.

The free Fitness & Wellness Block Party will offer a full day of outdoor events promoting healthy living, community connection and access to wellness resources for residents of all ages.

Hosted by Elmcor, the event will transform 107th Street into an interactive wellness hub featuring fitness demonstrations, including HIIT workouts, boxing, dance fitness, yoga, meditation and stretching.

Organizers said the block party will also include youth activities, health resources and information aimed at encouraging healthier lifestyles across the community.

Attendees can take part in:

  • Basketball and soccer drills, tennis activities, obstacle courses and a 40‑yard dash
  • Nutrition demonstrations, self‑care activities, creative wellness stations and gardening experiences
  • Fitness games, dance activities and healthy snack‑making
  • Resource Row featuring community groups, healthcare providers, civic partners and public agencies offering information and services

Visitors can also complete activities throughout the event to fill a “wellness passport” and earn prizes while connecting with local organizations.

The block party runs Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. on 107th Street between Northern Boulevard and 35th Avenue.
